Have you ever wondered why so many people have a disregard for their communities? I have and it is upsetting. These individuals are unaware of their actions. Take for example the trash tossed needlessly by the smoking public. The trash is rarely thrown into garbage cans or put out in ash trays. The bulk of their trash litters our yards, curbs and streets.
There are two reasons and possibly a third. The first reason is that most smokers are addicts. They inhale cigarette smoke like gulps of fresh air. The second reason is that the Tobacco industry has never made any effort to ask their loyal customers to help clean up our environment. The last reason is pure speculation: I believe this industry views the refuse as effective advertising.
This digital folio is a polictical instrument for change. The Tobacco industry lacks an ecological responsibility. The protest directly involves you. If you wish to express your disgust, please act immediatley. Following the last image on the site, you will find links to the AMERICAN TOBACCO INSTITUTE and the companies themselves. Address some envelopes and on your next walk, take some time to pick up a butt, a pack and/or a matchbook and mail it back to them.
I hope your visit was memorable and please send them your opinions and suggestions.
