A Fine Art Erotic Event
Artrotica Y2K is the second annual erotic art and performance exhibition at Oakland Art [dot] Com. Created in '99 as an Oakland-style adult venue for the arts, Artrotica Y2K, scheduled for May 20, 2000, will retain the international flavor and "Hands-on" environment of last year with a few new twists. This year's event will also mark the official launch of Artrotica.com, an online forum for the sophisticated purveyors of erotic art.
Back to reality, Artrotica Y2k at Oakland Art [dot] Com will feature an interactive experience for the viewer, offering performance art installations, audience participation, body painting, erotic poetry and fine works of art.
Partnering with Oakland Art [dot] Com this year will be the East Bay Express Matches. If a creative free spirit is what you're looking for, matches is what they do. Additional sponsors and participants include the Content Conduit, who will provide web content for the event; and Bison Brewing in Berkeley, who will provide the elixirs for this special occasion.
Featured artists and performers include:
A special guest appearance by Juliet Anderson, a.k.a. Aunt Peg , the famed actress, now therapist, who will be screening her new film, Ageless Desire , chronicling the sexlife of people in their 50 s and 60 s.
The artist resource organization, Artwork, from San Francisco, will be exhibiting The Best of One Night Stand , their annual erotic art show.
Artist Dan Fontes will be previewing work from his upcoming exhibit at Good Vibrations.
This event will be filmed and photographed as part of the exhibition.
